Ingredients
- Veal Mince - 14.1 oz
- Eggplants - 2 pieces
- Onion - 1 piece
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Cheese Spread - 3.5 oz
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Mayonnaise - 3.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash the eggplants, cut them in half lengthwise, cover with water, and place a weight on top. Leave for 30 minutes to remove bitterness.
Step 2
Peel and finely chop the onion, sauté it in vegetable oil.
Step 3
Add the minced meat.
Step 4
Scoop out the flesh from the eggplants to create boats. Finely chop the tomatoes and the flesh of the eggplants, add them to the pan with the minced meat, season with salt, and press in the garlic, sauté until cooked.
Step 5
Fill the eggplant boats with the minced meat, spread mayonnaise (or sour cream) on top, and sprinkle with grated cheese.
Step 6
Grease a baking sheet with oil and place the eggplants on it.
Step 7
Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for 25–30 minutes.
