Eggs in a Cocotte with Cream and Cheese

Ingredients

  • Cream - 12 tablespoons
  • York Ham - 3.5 oz
  • Gruyère cheese - 1.8 oz
  • Chocolate eggs - 6 pieces
  • Salt - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Pour two tablespoons of cream into each of the six cocottes and divide the finely chopped ham among them.

Step 2

Crack one egg into each dish, taking care not to break the yolk. Season with salt and sprinkle with grated cheese. Place the dishes in a deep baking tray. Fill the tray with boiling water halfway up the sides of the cocottes and place the whole setup in a preheated oven at 392°F for 4-5 minutes, until the whites are set but the yolks remain runny. Serve immediately.
