Ingredients
- Water - 1 qt
- Salad Potatoes - 2 lbs
- Pearl barley - 3.5 oz
- Onion - 3 heads
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Soak the barley groats in advance.
Step 2
In salted water, add the chopped potatoes, then add the barley on top. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, cover, and cook until the groats are completely soft.
Step 3
Stir with a spoon until smooth, mashing the potatoes.
Step 4
Fry the chopped onion in oil and sprinkle it over the finished puree.
