- Black Currant Jam - 3 spoons
- Pear schnapps - 5 fl oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 fl oz
- Lemon - to taste
- Soda water - 2 fl oz
- Pears - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour the pear schnapps into a pitcher, add the gooseberry jam, lemon juice, and top off with soda water (you can adjust the amount to your preference for the strength of the cocktail).
Step 2
Add three to four large scoops of ice (large is preferable to crushed, as it melts more slowly and keeps the cocktail from becoming too diluted). Stir quickly and well to ensure the jam dissolves and imparts its flavor.
Step 3
Serve in glasses filled with ice. Garnish with slices of pear and lemon.
