- Fettuccine Pasta - 8.8 oz
- Champignons - 3.5 oz
- Ham - 3.5 oz
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Cream 22% - 7.1 oz
- Wheat Flour - 1½ spoons
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 2 spoons
- Herbs - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
First, we'll boil the pasta. To ensure it cooks evenly and doesn't stick together, add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil and some salt to the water. Cook the pasta until al dente, then drain.
Step 2
Chop the mushrooms and boil them for 5-10 minutes in a small amount of water, adding salt.
Step 3
Now let's move on to the sauce. In a skillet, melt the butter and add the flour, mixing it with the butter and seasoning it well with salt. Then, add the cream. Since we've salted the flour, it should mix well with the cream; stir until smooth and pour in the mushrooms along with a bit of their broth (there should be just a little). Mix well again. Dice the ham and add it to the sauce.
Step 4
Mix everything together and add grated cheese, preferably a hard variety.
Step 5
Garnish with herbs.
