- Fettuccine Pasta - 14.1 oz
- Peeled Cooked Shrimp - 10.6 oz
- Cream 22% - 7 fl oz
- Olive Oil - 2 spoons
- Butter - 0.9 oz
- Wheat Flour - 1 tablespoon
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - 3 spoons
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh basil leaves - a pinch
- Fresh basil leaves - 4 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Bring the water to a boil, add salt, toss in the shrimp, and cook for 5-6 minutes. At the same time, sauté the flour in butter in a skillet, then add cream, chopped parsley, and reduce the mixture by one third.
Step 2
Transfer the cooked shrimp to a bowl and let them cool. In the same water in which they were cooked, add the fettuccine and cook for the time recommended on the package until al dente (for me, this takes 6 minutes). Drain in a colander.
Step 3
Peel the shrimp (if necessary), then transfer most of them to a skillet with the sauce, along with the fettuccine. Add dried basil, heat for a minute, and serve on plates.
Step 4
Garnish with the remaining shrimp, a basil leaf, and a sprig of parsley; optionally sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
