Filipino Chicken (Chicken Adobo)
Ingredients
- Poultry - 35.3 oz
- Soy Sauce - ½ cup
- Champagne Vinegar - ¾ cup
- Turmeric - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Garlic - 3 heads
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
- Onion - ½ head
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Chop the onion and garlic.
Step 2
Cut the meat into large cubes.
Step 3
Add soy sauce and vinegar to the chicken, mix with garlic and onion, add bay leaves, pepper, and salt. Mix well, cover, and marinate in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours.
Step 4
Place on the stove, bring to a boil, then simmer on medium heat for 30–40 minutes until the chicken is cooked.
Step 5
Serve with the sauce in which the chicken was stewed. Serve boiled rice or vegetables as a side dish.
