Description
Tilli Liha is a Finnish meat stew with dill. It's perfect for winter. From our 'Golden Thousand' collection.
Ingredients
- Veal - 2 lbs
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Celery salt - 5.3 oz
- Onion - 1 piece
- Bay leaf - 3 pieces
- Green peppercorns - 5 pieces
- Dill - 2.5 oz
- 10% cream - 10 fl oz
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Vinegar essence - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Cover the meat with water and bring it to a boil. Skim off the foam and reduce the heat to the lowest setting.
Step 3
Add carrot, celery, and onion to the broth.
Step 4
Add the dill stems, bay leaf, and peppercorns. Simmer for one and a half to two hours.
Step 5
Strain the broth and cut the meat into 3-centimeter cubes.
Step 6
Put 500 ml of broth back on the heat and reduce it by half.
Step 7
Add the cream, salt, pepper, and sugar.
Step 8
Add vinegar and mix well. Taste and add more salt if needed.
Step 9
Add the meat and dill, heat through, and remove from heat.
Step 10
Serve with boiled potatoes.
