Description
Fish Meatballs in Cream Sauce
Ingredients
- Onion - 1 piece
- Pork Mince - 8.8 oz
- Breadcrumbs - 4 tablespoons
- 10% cream - 10 fl oz
- Cheese Spread - 3.5 oz
- Broccoli - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- White Pepper (whole) - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In the fish mince (I used red fish), finely chop or grind a small onion. Add breadcrumbs (adjust based on the consistency of the mince: if it's too liquid, add a bit more breadcrumbs), salt, and white pepper to taste.
Step 2
Shape the meatballs (choose the size depending on the volume of the dish you will be baking them in).
Step 3
Break the broccoli into small florets. You can skip the broccoli if desired.
Step 4
Place the meatballs in portioned ramekins or a large baking dish and put them in the oven for just 5 minutes at 392°F, so the meatballs can firm up a bit.
Step 5
Prepare the sauce: pour the cream into a bowl, add grated cheese, salt, and pepper to taste.
Step 6
Remove the ramekins from the oven, and place the broccoli (if using) among the meatballs.
Step 7
Pour the sauce over the meatballs and return to the oven at 180–374°F for another 20 minutes.
