Description
Our fish patties are almost like Grandma's. The lightness comes from the bread crumbs, while the creamy flavor is thanks to the cream. You can prepare patties in the same way using pike or any other fish you prefer.
Ingredients
- Cod fillet - 20 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- White bread - 5 oz
- Milk - 5 fl oz
- Heavy cream - 5 fl oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Wheat Flour - 5 oz
- Salt - to taste
- White Pepper (whole) - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 0 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Soak the white bread crumb in milk and let it sit for 5–10 minutes.
Step 3
Chop the onion randomly and sauté in vegetable oil until golden brown.
Step 4
Cut the cod fillet into large pieces.
Step 5
Pass the cod through a meat grinder, followed by the onion and bread.
Step 6
Add the egg, cream, salt, and white pepper to the minced meat, and mix well.
Step 7
Cover the meat mixture with plastic wrap, pressing it down to eliminate air, and refrigerate for 30–40 minutes.
Step 8
Shape the patties and coat them in flour.
Step 9
Fry the patties in vegetable oil on both sides until golden brown.
Step 10
Then transfer to a baking sheet and bake in an oven preheated to 355°F for 15 minutes.
Step 11
Serve the fish patties hot.
