Fish Patties with Red and White Fish
Ingredients
- Smoked haddock fillet - 12.3 oz
- Cod fillet - 12.3 oz
- White bread - 5.3 oz
- Parsley - 3 stems
- Dill - 3 stems
- Onion - 2 heads
- Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
- Milk - 5 fl oz
- Breadcrumbs - 1 cup
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Chop both fillets separately in a blender. Remove the crust from the bread and soak it in milk. Finely chop the onion and sauté it.
Step 2
Squeeze out the bread, mix it with the onion, and divide into two parts. Add one part along with the egg and chopped herbs to the white fish mixture, and the other part with the egg to the red fish mixture, seasoning to taste.
Step 3
Form patties from the red fish mixture with a diameter of about 7 cm. Place a piece of the white fish mixture on each patty, wrap it up into balls. Coat in breadcrumbs and fry in hot oil for 6–8 minutes over moderate heat.
