Ingredients
- Fillet of small-eyed hake - 2 pieces
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 2 tablespoons
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Onion - 1 head
- Orange Bell Peppers - ½ piece
- Fish Oil - 2 fl oz
- Wheat Flour - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Olive Oil - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the fish and clean it.
Step 2
Cut into portion-sized pieces and place in a bowl.
Step 3
Season with salt and pepper, drizzle with lemon juice, and let marinate for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Then coat in flour.
Step 5
Heat a skillet with olive oil and fry the fish on both sides until golden brown.
Step 6
It should remain raw inside.
Step 7
Cut the bell pepper into strips.
Step 8
Chop the onion and sauté in oil for 7 minutes.
Step 9
Add the bell pepper, tomato paste, broth, and simmer until the vegetables are cooked, about 10 minutes.
Step 10
Transfer half of the vegetables to a pot, add the fish, and cover with the remaining vegetables.
Step 11
Simmer on low heat for 25–30 minutes.
Step 12
Season with salt and pepper.
