Ingredients
- Peeled Cooked Shrimp - 17.6 oz
- Dark rum - 2 tablespoons
- Orange Bell Peppers - 2 pieces
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Tamarind Paste - 1½ teaspoons
- Cayenne Pepper - ¼ teaspoon
- Coarse Salt - to taste
- Ground clove - ¼ teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Remove the seeds and stems from the peppers and cut them into 24 equal pieces.
Step 2
Preheat the grill or barbecue.
Step 3
Thread the raw peeled shrimp and pieces of pepper onto skewers.
Step 4
In a small bowl, mix the rum, olive oil, curry, allspice, and cayenne pepper. Brush the skewers with the mixture and let sit for 5 minutes. Then, season with salt.
Step 5
Place the skewers on the grill and cook until done, about 3–4 minutes. Serve with cilantro sauce (see note).
