Description
It's best to cook in a saucepan or a small pot with thick walls. I have a regular one. Fortunately, in this case, it didn't affect the result. The stew turns out magical. Very aromatic, juicy, and the juice is truly divine. I recommend it!
Ingredients
- Onion - 1 piece
- Tomatoes - 6 pieces
- Chinese green beans - 17.6 oz
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Cilantro - to taste
- Green peppercorns - 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil - 0 fl oz
- Olive Oil - 0 fl oz
- Ocean salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Finely chop the onion and sauté it in sunflower oil until translucent.
Step 2
Add the chopped beans (previously washed and trimmed). Pour in 50–100 ml of boiling water, add salt. Simmer the beans until tender, but not fully cooked. This took me about 5–7 minutes.
Step 3
Slice the tomatoes into rings about 1–1.5 cm thick and add them to the vegetables. Simmer until the tomatoes start releasing juice but still hold their shape. Drizzle in a couple of tablespoons of good olive oil.
Step 4
Finely chop the garlic, cilantro, and pepper. Add everything to the beans. Another minute on the heat and turn off. Leave covered for a couple of minutes and it's ready to serve.
