Description
You can use any type of lettuce instead of iceberg, such as arugula, or a mix of different lettuces. A few drops of lemon juice can be sprinkled on top of the finished salad. Rye crispbread pairs well with the salad.
Ingredients
- Iceberg Lettuce - 0.9 oz
- Marinated cherries - 4 pieces
- Pitted olives - 4 pieces
- Capers - 1 teaspoon
- Spanish onions - ¼ head
- Ground Black Pepper - a pinch
- Olive Oil - ½ teaspoon
- Canned tuna in its own juice - 1.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Tear or cut the iceberg lettuce leaves into small pieces. Place them at the bottom of a bowl for the salad, add the oil and pepper, and mix.
Step 2
Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and place them on the lettuce leaves.
Step 3
Slice the olives into rings and add them to the salad along with the capers.
Step 4
Using a slotted spoon, transfer the tuna from the can to the salad, evenly distributing the fish with the other ingredients in the bowl.
Step 5
Finally, add the sliced red onion to the salad. Serve immediately.
