Description
Fried Hake in Batter
Ingredients
- Hake - 21.2 oz
- Wheat Flour - 2 tablespoons
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- Mayonnaise - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Mixed Ground Peppers - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Thaw the fish. The best way to thaw fish is to transfer it from the freezer to the refrigerator, where it will gradually defrost. If the fish was purchased by weight, transfer it to a suitable container and cover with a lid. A second safe and quick method for thawing fish is to take it out of the freezer and place it in a pot of cold water. If you bought the fish in a plastic bag, do not remove it from the bag. If the fish was purchased by weight, place it in a bag, remove as much air as possible, and place it in cold water. The fish should not come into contact with water or air while thawing.
Step 3
Clean the hake from scales, cut off all fins, rinse well, and dry. If necessary, cut into portion-sized pieces, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, crack 2 chicken eggs. If the eggs are large, one will be sufficient.
Step 5
Add 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise to the bowl with the eggs.
Step 6
Add 2 tablespoons of flour to the bowl with the eggs and mayonnaise.
Step 7
Mix all the ingredients in the bowl until a homogeneous consistency is achieved, and season with salt to taste.
Step 8
Dip each piece of fish into the batter.
Step 9
Place a frying pan on the heat and pour in the vegetable oil. When the oil is hot, add the battered fish to the pan, cover with a lid, and fry over medium heat until golden brown.
Step 10
Flip the fish to the other side and continue frying until cooked through under the covered lid.
Step 11
Serve warm.
