Description
Fried mussels with rice and teriyaki sauce
Ingredients
- Frozen White Mushrooms - 7.1 oz
- Long-Grain Rice - ½ cup
- Onion - 1 piece
- Orange Bell Peppers - 1 piece
- Yakiniku sauce - to taste
- Ground coriander - a pinch
- Ground Cumin - a pinch
- Fenugreek - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the frozen mussels in boiling water for about 3 minutes, or simply pour hot water over them. Drain in a colander and dry.
Step 2
Cook the rice to your desired doneness.
Step 3
Heat a skillet and sauté the onion until golden brown. Then add the bell pepper to the onion. Sauté for 5 minutes. Add the mussels. Fry until the mussels develop a slight crust (color change), stirring constantly. Add teriyaki sauce to taste, and cook the onion, pepper, and mussels in the sauce for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Transfer to a plate.
Step 4
Add the cooked rice to a well-heated skillet, and mix in cumin, coriander, and fenugreek (fenugreek can be omitted). Sauté with the spices for about 5 minutes.
Step 5
Serve the rice on a plate alongside the mussels and vegetables.
