Fried Pork Heart with Onions
Ingredients
- Pork Blood - 10.6 oz
- Milk - 1 qt
- Ocean salt - 0.7 oz
- Thyme - 4 sprigs
- Onion - 10.6 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Butter - 0.7 oz
- Dry White Wine - 2 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Dissolve sea salt in the milk, add thyme sprigs, and place the pork heart in it. Refrigerate for 12 hours.
Step 3
Slice the onion into thin strips.
Step 4
Remove the heart from the milk, pat it dry, and cut it into strips, similar to meat for stir-fry.
Step 5
In a skillet, heat the vegetable oil and butter, add the onion, sprinkle with a pinch of salt, and sauté over medium heat until the onion is coated with golden caramel.
Step 6
Pour in the wine and let it evaporate completely.
Step 7
Add the pieces of heart, continue frying, stirring for about 10 minutes or until cooked through.
Step 8
At the end, season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 9
Serve the fried heart with mashed potatoes.
