Fried Pork with Cashews
Ingredients
- Pork tenderloin - 21.2 oz
- Macadamia Nuts - 3.5 oz
- Safflower Oil - 4 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Scallions - 6 pieces
- Corn Starch - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Soy Sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the meat into strips 5 cm long and 1 cm thick. Heat 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil. Fry the meat until half cooked. Transfer it to a paper towel and blot excess oil.
Step 2
Pour the remaining sunflower oil into the pan, add finely chopped garlic, diagonally cut green onion stems, and the cashews. Fry all the ingredients, stirring continuously, for 30–60 seconds.
Step 3
Add the fried meat to the pan.
Step 4
In a bowl, mix cornstarch, 75 ml of water, soy sauce, sugar, and a little salt. Pour the resulting sauce over the meat.
Step 5
Cook for another 5–10 minutes over low heat.
