Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 3 cups
- Water - 1 cup
- Salt - 2 teaspoons
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Dry yeast - 2 teaspoons
- Salad Potatoes - 24.7 oz
- Onion - 2 heads
- Vegetable Oil - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
For the dough, mix water, oil, sugar, and salt.
Step 2
Combine flour with yeast.
Step 3
Pour the flour into the water and knead a soft, elastic dough.
Step 4
Let the dough rest in a warm place for 1 hour, then punch down and let it rest for another 30 minutes.
Step 5
Peel the potatoes and boil them in salted water until cooked.
Step 6
Drain the water and mash the potatoes into a puree.
Step 7
Chop the onion into small cubes and fry in vegetable oil until golden brown.
Step 8
Mix the onion with the potato puree.
Step 9
Cool the filling.
Step 10
Shape small pies with the potato filling and fry in a pan on both sides.
Step 11
Place the finished pies on paper towels to remove excess oil.
