- Long-Grain Rice - 1 cup
- Onion - 4 heads
- Ginger - 1 piece
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Green Peas - 3 tablespoons
- Soy Sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a deep enameled pot, bring 2 liters of water to a boil.
Step 2
Salt the water, add the rinsed rice, and cook over medium heat for 7 minutes.

Then drain the water, cover the pot with a lid, reduce the heat to low, and cook the porridge for another 5 minutes.
Step 4
Remove the pot from the heat and let the rice steam under the lid for 5 minutes.

Peel, wash, and slice the onion into thin rings.

Peel, wash, and chop the garlic.
Step 7
Peel, wash, and grate the ginger on a fine grater.
Step 8
Heat the oil in a deep skillet, add the onion, garlic, and ginger, and sauté over high heat while stirring for 2 minutes.
Step 9
Crack the egg into the skillet and cook, stirring quickly, for 20-30 seconds, until the egg is mixed with the other ingredients.
Step 10
Add the rice and peas to the skillet, season with salt, and cook for another 3-4 minutes.

Season the finished porridge with soy sauce and freshly ground black pepper.
