- Hake - 3 lbs
- Cotton Oil - 5 tablespoons
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Salt - to taste

Step 1
Cover with a lid and cook on low heat for 15 minutes. Carefully transfer the fish with a wide knife to a warmed plate and serve.
Step 2
Place the frozen fish in a bowl of water with 3 tablespoons of salt for an hour to thaw. Then drain the water, cut the fillet into 6 steaks, rinse the steaks under cold running water, and pat dry with a paper towel.
Step 3
Pour oil into a pot and add about two-thirds of the finely chopped onion. Season the steaks on both sides with salt, place them on the onion, and drizzle with lemon juice. Sprinkle the remaining onion over the fish.
