Description
Funchosa is a popular dish made with transparent noodles, often served with a variety of vegetables and proteins. It is typically tossed in a savory sauce, creating a delightful balance of flavors. This dish can be found in many Asian restaurants and is beloved for its light yet satisfying profile.
Ingredients
- Rice Noodles - 17.6 oz
- Radish - 1 piece
- Pork Blood - 10.6 oz
- Carrot - 2 pieces
- Onion - 1 head
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Soy Sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place a pot of water on the heat. Finely chop the meat (beef can also be used), and slice the onion into thin rings. Julienne the radish and carrot.
Step 2
Place the meat in a hot skillet with oil and sear it well. At the end, add the chopped vegetables, salt, and black pepper to taste, and stir. After 2-3 minutes, squeeze in the garlic and pour in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce. Stir again and cook for another 2 minutes.
Step 3
Add the starch noodles to a pot and cook, stirring, for about 4-5 minutes to avoid overcooking. The finished starch noodles should be distinctly gray and translucent.
Step 4
Drain the cooked noodles in a colander, gently squeeze out excess water, and place them on a large serving platter. The noodles can be cut into pieces. Top the noodles with the meat sauce and mix well. Alternatively, you can transfer them to a salad bowl for serving.
