Description

This recipe was shared with me by a resident of an Italian city. Gorgonzola cheese is used in the original recipe, but it can easily be replaced with another blue cheese (for example, Roquefort). The dish turns out to be very hearty.

Ingredients

  • Pasta shells - 7.1 oz
  • Cream 22% - 1 fl oz
  • Blue Cheese - 3.5 oz
  • Walnuts - 2 tablespoons

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Cook the fusilli according to the package instructions (usually about 10 minutes).

Step 2

Pour the cream into a small saucepan.

Step 3

Cut the cheese into cubes and add it to the cream.

Step 4

Place the saucepan with the cream and cheese over medium heat and stir occasionally until the cheese melts. Make sure the sauce does not boil.

Step 5

Crush the walnuts and add them to the sauce when the cheese has melted.

Step 6

Pour the finished fusilli with the sauce and mix. Serve immediately.
