Ingredients

  • Fusilli pasta - 8.8 oz
  • Red Onion - 2 pieces
  • Tomato Paste - 3 tablespoons
  • Dark Raisins - to taste
  • Red Wine Vinegar - 3 tablespoons
  • Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pine nuts - 1 teaspoon

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente (follow the instructions on the package).

Step 2

While the pasta is cooking, slice the onion into thin half-rings. In a separate pan, sauté the onion, raisins, and pine nuts in heated oil for 1 minute.

Step 3

Mix the tomato paste with the wine vinegar and add it to the onion mixture. Stir well and simmer on low heat until it reaches a ketchup-like consistency.

Step 4

Divide the hot pasta onto plates, add the sauce, and drizzle with olive oil. Serve immediately.
