- Egg white - 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil - to taste
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Grated Ginger Root - 0.7 oz
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Soy Sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Meyer Lemon Juice - to taste
- Water - ⅓ cup
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Make the batter: mix water, starch, and egg white. Knead the dough to a sour cream consistency.
Step 2
Cut the meat into cubes measuring 2 by 2 cm.
Step 3
Mix the meat with the batter and fry in a large amount of oil (like in a deep fryer).
Step 4
Drain the oil and let the meat 'rest' for a while.
Step 5
Cut the carrot into thin long strips.
Step 6
Slice the onion into half rings and cut the garlic into slices.
Step 7
In a heated pan with oil, add the garlic, onion, carrot, grated ginger, and pepper.
Step 8
Sauté for about 10 minutes, then pour in the soy sauce and starch diluted with a small amount of cold water.

Add honey and a little lemon juice.
Step 10
Bring everything to a boil and cook until thickened.

Add the meat and simmer a bit longer, adding salt.
