Garlic Pampushky
Ingredients
- Kefir - 1 qt
- Sugar - 3 tablespoons
- Salt - 1½ teaspoons
- Water - 18 fl oz
- Vegetable Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Garlic - 7 cloves
- Dry yeast - 0.4 oz
- Chicken Broth - ½ cup
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a pot, pour in the sugar, salt, and yeast. Then pour in the water. Stir to dissolve the yeast well.
Step 2
Gradually add the flour and knead the dough as for pies.
Step 3
Cover the pot and place it in a warm place. The dough should rise 3–4 times. Then shape the dough into small balls.
Step 4
In a heated, dry skillet, pour in sunflower oil and fry the pampushky (you can also bake them in the oven until cooked), then place them in a separate container.
Step 5
Finely chop or crush the garlic and mix it with the broth.
Step 6
Pour the garlic sauce over the pampushky and mix well.
