Description
You can easily check the readiness of the dish: just lightly pierce the meat and look at the color of the juice that flows out. If it is cloudy and slightly red, the meat needs to be cooked a bit longer. If it is clear and light, feel free to serve the dish. After removing the meat from the oven, let it 'rest' for about 10 minutes. During this time, the meat will continue to cook due to residual heat, and the juices will distribute evenly throughout the piece. The calorie content of the prepared pork roast according to this recipe is 328 kcal per 100 grams.
Ingredients
- Garlic - 8 cloves
- Pork tenderloin - 24.7 oz
- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Dijon Mustard - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- White Pepper (whole) - to taste
- Herbes de Provence - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Make shallow cuts in the meat and insert peeled garlic cloves into the openings. If necessary, you can cut the cloves into smaller pieces.
Step 2
Brush the meat with olive oil. If you love garlic as much as I do, I recommend adding finely chopped garlic to the oil and rubbing this mixture onto the meat.
Step 3
Add salt, pepper, and spices to taste. I prefer to add Herbes de Provence, but there are also basic spices for pork: rosemary, cumin, basil, oregano, curry, turmeric, marjoram, thyme, sage, tarragon, nutmeg, and cilantro.
Step 4
Place the meat in a roasting bag or wrap it in foil and refrigerate for 5–8 hours to marinate well. If you don't have time or just don't want to wait, you can put the meat in the oven right away, but the aroma will be slightly different.
Step 5
Before roasting, I coat the meat with mustard to create a nice and tasty crust later, but this is a matter of taste.
Step 6
Preheat the oven to 356°F (350 degrees Fahrenheit) and place the meat, wrapped in foil or a roasting bag, in the oven to roast.
Step 7
After an hour, take the meat out of the oven and unwrap the foil or cut open the roasting bag, which helps to form an appetizing crust.
Step 8
After that, return the meat to the oven at 392°F (400 degrees Fahrenheit) to cook for another 10–15 minutes.
