Description
This salad turns out best with pink grapefruit, but if pink ones are not available, red ones can be used instead. I actually discovered this recipe on a package of frisée lettuce from a local grocery store. After trying it, I decided to share it with the world.
Ingredients
- Romaine lettuce - to taste
- Grapefruits - 1 piece
- Pistachios - to taste
- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel half of the grapefruit and cut it into pieces. Squeeze the juice from the other half and set it aside for now.
Step 2
Place the frisée lettuce on a plate. For quicker preparation, I use pre-packaged frisée lettuce from a local grocery store — it's already chopped and doesn't need washing.
Step 3
Top with grapefruit pieces, sprinkle with pine nuts, drizzle with olive oil, and pour over the juice you extracted from the remaining half of the grapefruit. Add salt to taste.
