Description
Recipe by John Smith, head chef at Ocean View Grill.
Ingredients
- Corn Cobs - 1 piece
- Blue Cheese - 0.7 oz
- Butter - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Remove the husks from the corn. Place a layer of corn husks at the bottom of a dry pot, then add the corn. Pour boiling water over the corn, ensuring the water slightly covers the cobs.
Step 2
Place the pot on the heat, cover it with a lid, and cook the corn over medium heat for 1 to 3 hours after it starts boiling, depending on the maturity of the ears. To check for doneness, use a fork to pierce a kernel and taste it.
Step 3
Cut the cooked corn into 5 cm thick rounds, season with salt and pepper, and brush with melted butter.
Step 4
Grill or sauté the corn on all sides until lightly charred.
Step 5
Grate hot corn with Gorgonzola, skewer it on sticks, and serve immediately.
