Grilled Pork Ribs in Citrus Sauce
Ingredients
- Onion - 2.8 oz
- Butter - 3 tablespoons
- Honey - 3.5 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 3 tablespoons
- Soy Sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Orange zest - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Orange juice concentrate - ¾ cup
- Corn Starch - 1½ tablespoons
- Pork Skewers - 4 lbs
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a small skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until soft. Then add the honey, lemon juice, soy sauce, orange zest, and salt.
Step 2
Mix the orange juice and cornstarch and gradually add to the onion mixture. Heat while stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
Step 3
Place the ribs in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 40-45 minutes. Drain the water and pat dry with a paper towel.
Step 4
Preheat the grill. Brush the ribs with the sauce and grill for about 10-15 minutes on each side, continually basting with the sauce until the ribs are browned.
