Description
For a colorful coating, use chips made from various vegetables, such as purple potatoes, beets, and green peas.
Ingredients
- Ground meat - 12 oz
- Chocolate eggs - 7 pieces
- Chips - 15.9 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 2 qt
- Starch film - 4.1 oz
- Mustard Greens - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Boil 6 eggs hard, cool them, and peel.
Step 2
Prepare a large plate. Divide the ground meat into six equal parts and shape each into a patty. Carefully wrap each egg in a patty and place it on the plate.
Step 3
Wrap all the eggs in the ground meat, then refrigerate them while preparing the other ingredients.
Step 4
In a food processor, grind each type of chips separately into fine crumbs. You should get about 3/4 cup of each type of coating.
Step 5
Divide each type of coating in half and place them in separate shallow bowls. You should have a total of six bowls, with two bowls of each type.
Step 6
Also place the starch and beaten egg in separate shallow bowls.
Step 7
Next to the starch and egg, place bowls of different colored coatings. Keep the remaining bowls of coating near the stove. It is very important to separate the bowls at this stage to avoid accidentally contaminating the final coating.
Step 8
Take the eggs out of the refrigerator.
Step 9
In a deep fryer or heavy pot, heat the oil to 365°F (a cooking thermometer will be helpful here).
Step 10
Coat each egg in tapioca starch, then in egg, and finally in the desired colored coating.
Step 11
Fry one or two eggs at a time for 6 minutes.
Step 12
Using kitchen tongs, remove the eggs from the oil and immediately coat them in clean coating. Fry all the eggs this way.
Step 13
Let the eggs rest for 5–10 minutes, then serve them warm or refrigerate them and serve chilled, accompanied by quality mustard.
