Ingredients
- Poultry - 1 piece
- Durum wheat - 17.6 oz
- Water - 3 qt
- Ghee - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Trim any excess skin from the chicken.
Step 2
Place the chicken in the pot.
Step 3
Add the dhokla flour without soaking or rinsing it beforehand.
Step 4
Pour in enough water to just cover the chicken.
Step 5
Bring to a boil and simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 1.5 hours. Add salt.
Step 6
Once the meat starts to pull away from the bones, remove the chicken from the pot.
Step 7
Remove all the meat from the bones.
Step 8
Return the chicken meat to the pot with the broth.
Step 9
And, stirring constantly, cook for 30 minutes until it reaches a thick, almost homogeneous consistency.
Step 10
Place the rice in a deep dish, add melted butter, and mix well.
