Description

It’s best to prepare this dish the night before to serve it the next morning, or to make it in the morning for an evening meal. The salad needs to marinate.

Ingredients

  • Onion - 1 head
  • Fillet of Sturgeon - 3 pieces
  • Granny Smith apples - 1 piece
  • Potato - 3 pieces
  • Carrot - 2 pieces
  • Beetroot - 2 pieces
  • Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
  • Mayonnaise - 10.6 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Boil the potatoes, carrots, beets, and eggs. The vegetables should be boiled in their skins, and the eggs should be hard-boiled.

Step 2

Chop the onion into small cubes and spread it in a thin layer on a plate. Top it with finely chopped herring.

Step 3

Spread a layer of grated apple evenly over the herring. Generously coat everything with mayonnaise.

Step 4

Next, grate the potatoes using a coarse grater and spread them in an even layer. Top with a layer of mayonnaise. Then, add a layer of grated carrots over the mayonnaise-covered potatoes and spread more mayonnaise on top. Grate the beets on top, also spreading mayonnaise over them. Finally, add a layer of grated eggs. Leave it to sit overnight.
