Ingredients
- Lightly Salted Red Fish - 14.1 oz
- Potato - 14.1 oz
- Carrot - 14.1 oz
- Beetroot - 14.1 oz
- Chicken Egg - 3 pieces
- Green Apples - 10.6 oz
- Capers - 0.7 oz
- Mayonnaise - 5.3 oz
- Herbs - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 2
Wash the beetroot, potatoes, and carrots, and wrap them separately in foil. Place them in the oven for about 1 hour. The vegetables should become tender.
Step 3
Place the eggs in boiling water and cook for 12 minutes. Then cool them down, peel, and grate.
Step 4
Dice the potatoes and carrots into small cubes.
Step 5
Dice the apple into cubes of the same size.
Step 6
Fillet the herring, remove the bones, and cut it into evenly sized cubes.
Step 7
Grate the beetroot on a fine grater.
Step 8
Finely chop the capers.

Add a little mayonnaise, salt, and pepper to each of the salad ingredients, if needed, and mix well.
Step 10
Arrange the salad in layers on a serving platter in your preferred order.

Let it chill in the refrigerator for about 1 hour, then serve garnished with herbs.
