Description

Before consumption, the cocktail is ignited and heated for 20–30 seconds. It is drunk through a straw from the bottom up. It can also be consumed without igniting, in one gulp. There is another method - ignite, heat, then extinguish, cool the rim of the shot glass with a slice of ice, and drink in one gulp. This method provides a completely different taste experience.

Ingredients

  • Sambuca - 0 fl oz
  • Baileys Liqueur - 0 fl oz
  • Absinthe - 0 fl oz
  • Grenadine - 0 fl oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

To prepare the shot, we need a special elongated shot glass and a bar spoon to clearly create the layers of the drink. At home, a knife can be used instead of a spoon.

Step 2

Carefully pour 20 ml of sambuca, avoiding touching the walls of the shot glass at the top.

Step 3

Lean the knife or bar spoon against the wall of the shot glass above the level of the sambuca. Slowly pour 20 ml of Baileys liqueur along it. This way, the liqueur will sit perfectly on the first layer without mixing.

Step 4

In the same manner, create the third layer (absinthe) using the spoon or knife.

Step 5

After three even layers appear, add 2–3 drops of grenadine syrup on top. They beautifully penetrate the layers, settle, and pull the liqueurs along, creating a frightening resemblance to a nuclear explosion.
