Description
Hollywood-Style Ham with Apples and Mustard
Ingredients
- Ham - 6 lbs
- Pickled Apples - 4.6 oz
- Cider - 24 fl oz
- Brown Sugar - ¾ cup
- Apple Cider Vinegar - 6 tablespoons
- Dijon Mustard - 3 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 320°F. Place the ham in a baking dish and roast until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 149°F, about 15 minutes for every 450 grams.
Step 2
In a pot, add the cider and apples and bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook for about 8 minutes until the volume reduces to 1.5 cups. In a small bowl, mix the sugar, vinegar, and mustard, then add to the cider mixture. Cook the sauce for about 6 minutes until it reduces to 2.25 cups.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 374°F. Cut 8 thin slices from the ham, place them in a glass dish, and drizzle with the sauce. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes until the ham is heated through and the sauce starts to bubble. Transfer to a serving platter and serve.
