Description

Our creamy set will include the following types of rolls and sushi: creamy salmon, deluxe creamy salmon, cheese California, cheese Mexico, cheese sushi with salmon, cheese sushi with shrimp, and ikura sushi.

Ingredients

  • Crab sticks in brine - 1 piece
  • Smoked haddock fillet - 8.8 oz
  • Shrimp - 3.5 oz
  • Philadelphia Cheese - 7.1 oz
  • Red Caviar - 2 tablespoons
  • Black sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Tobiko Caviar - 2 tablespoons
  • Rice Vinegar for Sushi - 2 tablespoons
  • Sushi Rice - 28.2 oz
  • Dried Nori Seaweed - 1 piece

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Before we start rolling, we add a bit of rice vinegar to the cooked rice. The rice acquires a unique taste and aroma.

Step 2

So, let's start cooking. The first roll on our list is creamy salmon. It consists of rice, nori, salmon, and cheese. We wrap the mat in a transparent bag to avoid getting ingredients stuck in it. Place half a sheet of nori, shiny side down, on the mat. Spread the rice evenly over the sheet and flatten it. For convenience, wet your hands with rice vinegar. Carefully flip the nori rice side down and place the filling. The filling here is only cheese, so gently place it on the nori and roll it up. The unique feature of this roll is that the salmon is placed on the outside, not inside the roll. Therefore, it needs to be sliced into thin pieces and wrapped around our roll. Use a sharp knife coated with rice vinegar to cut the roll into 6–8 pieces.

Step 3

The next roll is deluxe creamy salmon. It differs from the previous one in that red caviar is added. We repeat all the actions with the rice and nori, place the cheese, and then add the caviar on top. Roll it up and wrap it in thin slices of salmon. Cut into portions with a knife dipped in vinegar.

Step 4

Now we prepare cheese California. For this, we spread rice on half a sheet of nori, flip it over, and add the filling. The filling will be cheese, crab sticks (I used one), and thinly sliced cucumber. Roll it up, and then coat it in red tobiko caviar. Cut into portions.

Step 5

In cheese Mexico, the filling consists of the essential cheese (hence the creamy set), shrimp, and avocado. We do everything the same as with the previous rolls. The finished roll is coated in black sesame seeds. Cut into portions.

Step 6

To prepare sushi, we need to cut the nori sheet into strips 3–4 cm wide, and roll tight rice balls from the rice. We carefully wrap these balls with a strip of nori, securing it by slightly moistening with rice vinegar. Stand them vertically and add the filling inside. In some, we place sliced salmon and top with cheese, gently spreading it. In others, we add shrimp, cheese, and a bit of tobiko on top. In the last pair, we place a bit of salmon roe.

Step 7

Arrange everything beautifully on a plate.
