Description
The meat can be either chicken or turkey. The key to cooking is not to overcook the patties. It's best to cook them over medium heat and simmer with a lid for a few minutes. Check for doneness by piercing with a fork and ensuring that the juice or broth that flows out is clear. The patties can be served as a standalone dish or with any side dish.
Ingredients
- Ground meat - 2 lbs
- Tomatoes - 3.5 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Dill - 3 sprigs
- Parsley - 3 sprigs
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash the herbs and tomatoes, peel the onion, and prepare the ground meat.
Step 2
Finely chop the herbs.
Step 3
Make a cross-shaped incision on the bottom of the tomato.
Step 4
Place the tomato in hot water for a couple of minutes.
Step 5
Then remove it and peel off the skin (to make the tomato texture in the patty more tender).
Step 6
Chop the onion fairly finely.
Step 7
Pour boiling water over the onion for 5 minutes; it will soften and release bitterness.
Step 8
Combine all the ingredients in one bowl and mix thoroughly, adding salt to taste and spices.
Step 9
You should have a tender meat mixture with vegetables.
Step 10
Using a spoon (or, if convenient, wet hands), shape the patties and fry them over medium heat on both sides until golden brown (about 5 minutes on each side). You can use either butter or vegetable oil.
Step 11
You should end up with very tender chicken patties with vegetables, with the onion and tomato being al dente.
