Description
Teaspoons vary, and so do eggs. I STRONGLY recommend adding just a pinch of salt at first; you can always add more later if needed! A blender is required to make the mayonnaise!
Ingredients
- Vegetable Oil - 5 fl oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Mustard Greens - 1 teaspoon
- Sugar - ½ teaspoon
- Salt - ¼ teaspoon
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon
- Spices - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix salt, sugar, lemon juice, and any spices you like, just not salty ones.
Step 2
In a jar or any other container (with a diameter the same as the blender or slightly wider, but not much — THIS IS IMPORTANT!), pour in the oil. Add the previous mixture as well.
Step 3
Add the mustard. Do not mix.
Step 4
Crack the whole egg in. IT IS IMPORTANT that the yolk remains intact.
Step 5
Lower the blender into the jar, all the way to the bottom, ensuring the yolk is inside the blade's compartment.
Step 6
Turn on the blender for 5–10 seconds without lifting it. Then blend for another 10 seconds.
