Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour - 13.4 oz
  • Sugar - 2 teaspoons
  • Chicken Egg - 1 piece
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Dry yeast - 0.2 oz
  • Milk - 5 fl oz
  • Margarine - 1.8 oz
  • Tomatoes - 6 pieces
  • Pickles - 2 pieces
  • Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - to taste
  • Semi-Smoked Sausage - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Sift the flour, add sugar, salt, yeast, and mix everything together. Whisk the egg in a bowl and pour it into the flour, mixing well.

Step 2

Take a small saucepan, pour in the milk, and cut the margarine into it. Place it on the stove and melt it, allowing it to cool slightly before pouring it into the bowl with the flour. Mix with a spoon until the milk is dissolved, then knead with clean hands for about 5–10 minutes. Cover the dough with plastic wrap or a lid and place it in a warm place for 20–30 minutes.

Step 3

Knead the dough and divide it into 2 parts. Roll out a circle and transfer it to a large round frying pan, previously greased with sunflower oil.

Step 4

Finely chop the pickles and sprinkle them over the dough, slice the sausage and place it on top of the pickles, slice the tomatoes into rounds and lay them on the sausage (mushrooms can be added), and generously sprinkle everything with grated cheese.

Step 5

Bake in the oven for 40 minutes at 356°F on the top shelf.
