Description

Each chicken weighs 350 grams. The ginger root should be about 3 cm in size. Serve the chickens with cucumber dressing. It can also be served with fragrant rice, fried onions, and napa cabbage.

  • Wheat Flour - 2 lbs
  • Salt - 3.5 oz
  • Lime - 2 pieces
  • Poultry - 4 pieces
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Grated Ginger Root - to taste
  • Brown Sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste
  • Olive Oil - 6 tablespoons
  • Sugar - 1.8 oz
  • Cucumbers - 2 pieces
  • Rice Vinegar for Sushi - 1 fl oz
  • Cilantro - 1 bunch

Step by Step guide

Step 1

To prepare the dough, mix the flour with salt and 0.5 liters of warm water, knead into an elastic dough.

Step 2

Wash and dry the chickens. Wash the limes, peel them thinly, and squeeze out the juice. Peel the garlic and chop finely. Peel the ginger and slice it. Blend the lime zest, garlic, ginger, palm sugar, salt, and pepper into a paste. Add olive oil and lime juice, and coat the chickens with this mixture on all sides.

Step 3

Divide the dough into 4 parts and roll each part to a thickness of 0.5 cm. Wrap the chickens in the dough and pinch the edges.

Step 4

Place the chickens on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the oven at 320°F (Convection +) on the second level from the bottom for 55–60 minutes. Allow to cool slightly and break the dough.

Step 5

Peel the cucumbers and slice them thinly. Heat the sugar in a saucepan until it turns light brown and drizzle with vinegar. Marinate the cucumbers in the sugar-vinegar mixture. Wash the cilantro, tear the leaves, chop roughly, and add to the cucumbers. Season with salt and pepper.
