Description

For this drink, any non-acidic coffee with a dominant bitterness will work. We chose Cuba Serrano Lavado coffee as the base, known for its bright natural bitterness and hints of tobacco in the flavor, with minimal acidity. In Asia, a special device called a 'Vietnamese drip' is used to prepare this drink, which is practically unavailable in the U.S., but for a refreshing Thai-style coffee, a stovetop espresso maker or Turkish coffee will suffice. For those who prefer a milder taste, any filter brewing methods are also suitable.

Ingredients

  • Ice - 1 glass
  • Condensed Milk - 1.4 oz
  • Ground Coffee - 0.7 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Prepare coffee using an AeroPress.

Step 2

A tall glass is filled to the brim with ice, and a generous portion of sweetened condensed milk is poured over the ice; it's important not to be stingy.

Step 3

Add freshly brewed hot coffee and stir until the condensed milk is completely dissolved.
