Ingredients
- Onion - 3 heads
- Lamb - 3 lbs
- Garlic - 6 cloves
- Carrot - 4 pieces
- Potato - 10 pieces
- Rosemary - 1 sprig
- Parsley - 0.1 bunch
- Water - 20 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the meat into large pieces, season with salt, and fry for 3 minutes on each side. Add the coarsely chopped onion, garlic, carrot, and rosemary leaves, and sauté, stirring, for about 5 minutes.
Step 2
Pour in hot water, stir, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, season, add the peeled and coarsely chopped potatoes, and simmer covered for 2 hours.
Step 3
Pour in a little cold water, skim off the fat that has risen to the surface with a spoon. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Add the chopped herbs and serve.
