Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 10.6 oz
- Sugar - a pinch
- Dry yeast - 0.5 oz
- Salt - a pinch
- Olive Oil - 5 tablespoons
- Marinated cherries - 10.6 oz
- Orange Bell Peppers - 2 pieces
- Pizza Mozzarella Cheese - 12.3 oz
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 2 tablespoons
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - 3.5 oz
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Dissolve the yeast in 3 tablespoons of warm water. Sift the flour into a mound. Make a well in the center, add sugar, salt, and the dissolved yeast, then mix. Let it rise for 15 minutes. Add 100 ml of warm water and 2 tablespoons of olive oil, then knead the dough. Cover with a towel and place in a warm spot to rise for 1 hour.
Step 2
Wash the cherry tomatoes, dry them, and cut each in half. Wash the bell peppers, cut them in half, remove the seeds, and slice the flesh into thin strips. Slice the mozzarella cheese.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 428°F. Shape the dough into 4 round bases and place them on a greased baking sheet. Brush each base with olive oil. Top with the halved cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, bell peppers, sprinkle with grated cheese, and season with salt and pepper. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes. Sprinkle the finished pizza with basil.
