Description
For a true Neapolitan sauce, add 0.5 cup of chopped anchovies and 2 tablespoons of black olives before serving.
Ingredients
- Olive Oil - 2 spoons
- Onion - 1 head
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Oregano - 1 tablespoon
- Baking Tomatoes - 28.2 oz
- Tomatoes - 4 pieces
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 2 spoons
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Heat the oil in a large pot, add finely chopped onion and crushed garlic, and cook for about 7–8 minutes.
Step 2
Add dried oregano, chopped canned tomatoes, tomato paste, and sugar. Season to taste and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce reduces by a third and thickens slightly.
