Description
Japanese noodles with tofu cheese
Ingredients
- Cilantro leaves - to taste
- Soy Sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Rice Vinegar - 2 tablespoons
- Sugar - 2 teaspoons
- Tofu - 7.1 oz
- Corn Flour - ¼ cup
- Sunflower Oil - to taste
- Asparagus - 1 bunch
- Beans - 1.8 oz
- Frozen Green Peas - 1.8 oz
- Ginger - 3.5 oz
- Noodles - 14.1 oz
- Chili Oil - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a shallow bowl, mix the soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar until fully dissolved.
Step 2
Pat the tofu dry and cut it into 8 cubes. Place the tofu in the marinade and turn to coat. Leave for 30 minutes or longer. (If marinating for several hours, keep in the refrigerator.)
Step 3
When the cheese is ready, preheat the oven.
Step 4
Pour the flour onto a plate. Remove the tofu from the marinade, reserving the marinade, and coat the tofu in flour on all sides.
Step 5
Heat a large skillet and add sunflower oil.
Step 6
Fry the tofu until dark golden brown and crispy, using tongs to turn. Place on a paper towel to drain excess oil, then keep warm in the oven.
Step 7
Pour 1 liter of water into a medium-sized pot and add the reserved marinade. Bring to a boil.
Step 8
Add the asparagus, beans, peas, ginger, and noodles. Simmer until the vegetables are tender, about 3-4 minutes.
Step 9
Divide into 4 plates and place 2 cubes of tofu on each. Sprinkle with cilantro leaves and drizzle with a little chili oil.
