Description

The same method is used to prepare jellied low-fat ham. Recipe for <a href="https://eda.ru/video/sousy/kak-prigotovit-majonez-82">mayonnaise sauce</a>. From the recipe book 'The Book of Delicious and Healthy Food', 1952.

Ingredients

  • Beef tongue - 2 lbs
  • Gelatin - 0.9 oz
  • Onion - 1 piece
  • Root Vegetables - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Fresh tongue, boiled, cooled, and sliced into thin pieces, should be poured over just like sturgeon.

Step 2

Prepare the jelly using the broth obtained from boiling the tongue, making sure to remove the fat from the broth.

Step 3

Before pouring, decorate the pieces of tongue with slices of boiled egg, fresh cucumber, gherkins, and parsley leaves.

Step 4

Cut out the poured pieces by tracing around each piece with the tip of a knife, arrange them nicely on a plate, and garnish on one or both sides with a salad of white and red cabbage, slices of tomatoes and fresh cucumber, pickled cherries, plums, and grapes. Decorate with green salad and parsley. Serve mayonnaise sauce, sour cream sauce with horseradish, or horseradish with vinegar separately.
