Ingredients
- Beef Tri-Tip - 1 piece
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Butter - 1.4 oz
- Flaky sea salt - to taste
- Chili jam - to taste
- Lemon-Pepper Mix - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Let the meat 'breathe' at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
Step 2
Brush with olive oil on all sides and season with coarse salt.
Step 3
Place on a dry, hot grill pan.
Step 4
After 3–4 minutes, move to create grill marks.
Step 5
After another 3–4 minutes, flip the steak.
Step 6
After another 3 minutes, move again. Cook for about 2 minutes and remove from heat.
Step 7
Place a piece of butter on a sheet of foil.
Step 8
Then place the meat on the butter.
Step 9
Top with more butter. Season with pepper mix.
Step 10
Wrap tightly in foil and let rest for 5 minutes.
Step 11
Transfer to a plate, drizzle with chili sauce, and serve.
