Juicy Striploin Steak
Ingredients
- Striploin steak - 1 piece
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Olive Oil - 1 teaspoon
- Butter - 1.1 oz
- Flaky sea salt - a pinch
- Lemon-Pepper Mix - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Herbs - to taste
- Passata Tomato Sauce - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Let the meat 'breathe' at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
Step 2
Brush the meat with olive oil.
Step 3
Season with coarse salt.
Step 4
Place the steak on a dry, hot skillet.
Step 5
After 3–4 minutes, place the steak on the fatty side.
Step 6
After 3 minutes, flip it to the unseared side.
Step 7
Season with the pepper mix.
Step 8
Drizzle with mustard oil on top.
Step 9
After 2 minutes, reduce the heat and flip again. Sear for another 4 minutes.
Step 10
Place butter on a piece of foil and season it with black pepper.
Step 11
Place the steak on the butter and repeat the previous step on top.
Step 12
Wrap the meat tightly in foil.
Step 13
After 5 minutes, the steak is ready. Transfer to a plate and slice into thick pieces. Optionally, add herbs and tomato sauce.
